The examination dates for the FRCR2b in Spring 2017 have been unofficially stated to me as: 1 April to 7th April. This is a little earlier than the traditional Spring sitting to avoid Easter.
I am delighted that following the success of the fully booked and exceptionally well received courses I ran in September 2016 I can offer the following dates in Mar 2017. 2 day courses book up quickly and are of very limited attendance (10 people) to maximise your personal interaction. The written course has more capacity (20) but is equally personal. MAR 2017 Vlahos Grayscale Course Dates Original 2 day Courses: 1 day written Course: Mar 4th-5th Mar 17th Mar 11th-12th Mar 20th-21st "Dr Vlahos's course is a must-attend for the FRCR final part B. He shows an extensive range of cases from exam-classics such as skeletal dysplasias, scurvy, various forms of congenital cardiac disease, barium studies of inflammatory bowel disease to uncommon presentations of common entities such as TB in unusual locations. He gives very good explanations, differentials and tips on how to present even when one is not sure. He is encouraging and caters to participants of all levels of expertise. Each participant gets a chance at the hot-seat ala actual 2B viva. Definitely worth every pound paid."

September dates and booking coming this week.
March 5-6 Course was a great success. Great group of trainees, very intensive but we kept it fun. I asked the trainees how many new cases they had not seen before they would see on a typical 2 day course. The answers ranged from 2-3 to 10. Everyone saw at least 20-25 they had not seen before, overall well over 200 cases!
We had wonderful delegates from the UK but also Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan and India. Here is a sample feedback comment: "Among the many FRCR courses I have been to, I found this course to be the most useful in terms of seeing a wide a variety cases including rare cases and common pathology in uncommon presentations. The number of attendees was quite small which made the course very personal and concentrated., and our teacher Johnny was a pleasure to work with." We had so much fun and bonding that some attendees wanted selfies! |
